Welcome To The Land Of The Plague
Hi. Remember me? I am one of the survivors of the plague. Kieren has also survived. Andy and Cullen aren't so lucky. Andy is headed to the doctor in the morning.We did not "officially" have the seasonal flu. We had "flu-like" symptoms. Shit! It was the flu! I had a high fever (103.1 at it's highest), awful chills, and sinus issues (I will save you the other details that just are too gross and painful to type). No aches or pains, no stomach issues, mostly just a fever that wouldn't stop. Kieren had the same with a hefty cough. We both suffered for a week. Cullen had a fever that never left the 99-101 range, chills, aches, and a minor cough. He was still home today. I'm kicking him back to school tomorrow, with or without a fever! Andy is the king of the plague! He has the fever (99-101), chills, aches, headache, sinus grossness, cough, and pink eye. Today was his first day home from work (he was off on Friday for CNY prep), but he was miserable all weekend. This bug is highly contagious!!! Now my dad has a version of it, but he brought it home from work.
I am still exhausted beyond all reason. I have not had time to recover. Chinese New Year party for our FCC was Saturday so last week was spent rushing around getting everything ready. Poor Kieren and Andy didn't make it to the party and Cullen and I just counted the minutes until we could go home. It wasn't how I wanted to spend the party (or my money). I'm just grateful for my friend Liz! She helped me get through without falling on my face. Thanks, Liz!!!
