First of all - YIPPEE!!!! Blogger is finally working again!!!! Now to get on with the show - Kieren's 4th Birthday Party!


The invitation (Yes, I made them.) As you can tell, it was a horse themed party - BUT NOT COWBOYS (per The Empress)!

All the goodie-bags were feed sacks. I even "aged" them. Kieren's says "Kieren's Rainbow Horses Feed Co". Everyone had their own special logo and "company" name. Inside the bag: plastic horse that made "horsey" sounds, lollipop, candy hearts, 18 bangle bracelets, 4 mini Playdoughs, & probably something else that I can't remember right now. I made the feed sacks so they would hang from the horse's head like a real feed sack. (Yes, I'm anal.)

Kieren's horse (Yes, I did make this too.) Kieren insisted her horse had to be pink (Of course!). Everyone had a special horse chosen just for them by Kieren. No two horses were the same!

Blogger Issues

Sorry folks! Blogger is having a major problem and this is all I can post until they fix it. It royally bites! I have TONS of birthday pictures from Kieren's party and also her school party! Also yesterday was Kieren's finding date anniversary and I had some things I wanted to blog about. I have been trying since yesterday afternoon to blog, but it is still busted! GRRRRRRR!!!! I'll keep trying...

Funny story: MIL is "a bit annoying" (can you say UNDERSTATEMENT?!). She doesn't talk to people, she talks AT THEM! She doesn't care who you are or what she is saying. She doesn't care if you are trying to talk with someone else. She doesn't shut the hell up for any reason!!! She even keeps talking while eating and chewing (Ewwwwww!). And she doesn't speak in quiet or normal tones. SHE YELLS THE WHOLE FREAKING TIME SO EVERYONE IN THE RESTAURANT CAN HEAR HER! And she really doesn't say anything that anyone really wants to know about. Now, look closely at the photo again...

Yep! My mom is slamming back her wine! And yes, that is a dirty look she's giving me. Next time she will be on time so she's can choose her dinner partner!!!! (insert evil laugh here)

Preparing For Kieren's Birthday - Party Invitations

Yes, I know I haven't posted all week. Cullen has the flu. Yay... It struck on Monday and is still going strong. The kid is such a trooper. He had a band concert on Monday night. He stayed long enough to perform, staggered off the stage, and told us we needed to leave now. Nothing in the world is worse than playing crash cymbals with a migraine!!!

BTW, tomorrow is Kieren's birthday celebration at school. I made my yummy sugar cookies, then Heather and I made some killer buttercream (To die for!!!! I will post recipe later!) and turned them into cookie sandwiches!!! I am taking my camera with me so I will have photos!!!!

Preparing For Kieren's Birthday - Past Themes/Cakes

As Kieren's 4th birthday quickly approaches, I thought it would be fun to look at her last three birthdays! We were so thankful and darn lucky to have our Kieren before her first birthday!!! (Kieren was 8.5 months old on Forever Family Day.) Except for her birth, we have been with her on every birthday. Anyway, today's post is the first in my "Preparing For Kieren's Birthday" series. Let's hope this isn't majorly lame!!!
